Part Three

I have learned that goals need to be specific, measurable, and achievable. A good goal has to be something that isn't vague, such as wishing to write and publish one fantasy novel, so that when you accomplish your goal, you will know it. It has to be measurable so that you know when to stop with the pride of accomplishing the goal. Such a goal could be reading 250 non-fiction books. And it has to be achievable, so you never spend your whole life trying to accomplish a goal that is impossible. An achievable a goal might be visiting a specific city; it has been done before.

I have learned that I both like creative tasks (writing and reading) and more structured ones such as math and science. I tend to think a lot about my future, since I thoroughly believe that knowledge and education is the key to anything in life.

Some things that I already do that help me towards my goals are writing, reading, and doing my best at school everyday. Two of my goals are to publish a book and to attend an Ivy University. I already write everyday for practice, read everyday which is required of an author to be able to see why some books are so successful. I'll attend an Ivy University because I put my entire soul into my school work and the grades I get are evidence.
